Manchester: So, there was this shooting in Cheetham Hill, and it’s been a bit of a shocker. Two guys have been charged by the police. They got called out to a report of gunfire on Ermington Drive last Friday around 1 PM.
The area was all taped off while the emergency crews and detectives did their thing. Thankfully, no one got hurt in the shooting, which is a relief.
Now, they’ve charged two suspects. There’s also another guy, 23, who’s out on bail while they keep looking into it.
One of the charged, Leevi Murray, 22, doesn’t have a fixed address. He’s facing some serious charges, including drug-related ones and having a knife.
The other guy, Vernard Murray, 26, from Cheetham Hill, is in trouble for damaging property and assaulting an emergency worker. Both of them are in custody and are set to appear in court soon.
A spokesperson from Greater Manchester Police said they’re still digging into what happened. They’re working hard to keep the community safe and have extra patrols in the area to help residents feel secure.
