Newry: So, here’s the scoop. Two guys got nabbed after the police stopped their car and found a whopping £75,000 in cash. Crazy, right?

This all went down when detectives from the PSNI’s Organised Crime Unit were on the lookout. They pulled over a vehicle on Belfast Road earlier this week.

Detective Sergeant Tracey mentioned that they had some backup from the Roads Policing Unit. They searched the car and, boom, there was all that cash just sitting there.

The money has been taken for further checks, and the two men, aged 49 and 42, are now in police custody. They’re being questioned on suspicion of having criminal property.

Tracey also said they’re really focused on tackling crime. If anyone knows anything about shady activities, they should definitely reach out to the police or Crimestoppers. It’s all anonymous, so no worries there!
