Belfast: So, there were some burglaries in Belfast and Craigavon recently. Police reported that three guys were spotted leaving the homes in an SUV.
Detective Sergeant Stewart mentioned they got the first call around 6:20 PM about a break-in at Gracefield Lodge in Craigavon. Apparently, the burglars smashed a rear door to get in.
Inside, they ransacked several rooms, but it’s still unclear if anything was stolen. Then, not long after, around 7:45 PM, another burglary was reported in the Shore Road area of north Belfast.
This time, they got in through the front door and also messed up the place. The police are still figuring out if anything went missing there too.
Witnesses saw three masked men leaving the second house. They were described as slim and dressed in dark clothes. They hopped into a dark SUV, which might be linked to the earlier break-in.
Both homes were empty during the burglaries, and the police are reminding everyone to keep their security tight. They suggest not keeping large amounts of cash at home or on you.
Thieves can be sneaky, often watching business owners to learn their routines. They might follow you around to see when you leave for the bank or your home.
It’s a good idea to regularly check your home and business security. Make sure doors and windows are locked, and if you don’t have an alarm or cameras, think about getting some.
And if you notice anything suspicious or feel like you might be a target, don’t hesitate to call the police. They’re urging anyone with info to reach out on the non-emergency 101 number.
