London: Two Britons hit the jackpot in the National Lottery Set for Life. They could win £10,000 a month for 30 years. But they haven’t claimed their prize yet.
The total prize is worth £7.2 million. It’s unusual to have two winners at once. Andy Carter from the National Lottery said this is exciting news for players.
He mentioned that winning means they can celebrate a big monthly payout. The winning numbers were 03, 13, 23, 34, 39, and Life Ball 04.
Laura Hoyle and her partner Kirk Stevens won this prize during the lockdown in 2021. Over 216,000 players also won smaller prizes in that draw.
The National Lottery has paid out over £8 million to winners recently. Mr. Carter emphasized that playing helps fund many projects across the UK.
He noted that players contribute around £30 million weekly to support arts, sports, and community groups. The two winners are far from the record £195 million jackpot claimed in 2022.
