Woolwich: So, here’s the scoop. Police have arrested two boys and a woman in connection with the tragic murder of 14-year-old Kelyan Bokassa.
They nabbed a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old yesterday, both on suspicion of murder. They’re still in custody, which is pretty serious.
Then there’s the 44-year-old woman, who was arrested for allegedly helping the offenders. She’s also being held.
The whole thing went down on a Route 472 bus in Woolwich Church Street. Cops got the call about a stabbing just before 2:30 PM on January 7.
When officers arrived, they found Kelyan with stab wounds. Sadly, he passed away shortly after the medics got there.
His family is getting support from specialized officers, which is good to hear in such a tough time.
Detective Chief Inspector Sarah Lee, who’s leading the investigation, mentioned that while these arrests are a big step, they still want anyone with info to come forward.
She knows this incident has shaken the community and hopes these arrests bring some reassurance that they’re on it.
