Aberdeen: Floral tributes are left near a river after two bodies were found. This follows the search for two missing sisters, Eliza and Henrietta Huszti.

The sisters, both 32, were last seen on CCTV at Victoria Bridge. They were spotted around 2:12 AM on January 7.

Their landlady reported them missing after receiving a text. The message said they wouldn’t return to their flat.

A major search began, and a woman’s body was found near Queen Elizabeth Bridge. This happened just before 8 AM on Friday.

Another body was discovered near Victoria Bridge around 9:05 PM that same day. Police Scotland confirmed the findings.

While formal identification is pending, the sisters’ family has been notified. Many flowers have been placed near the bridge.

Scotland’s first minister, John Swinney, shared his condolences on social media. He called the news heartbreaking and expressed his thoughts for those affected.

Police are still investigating but say there are no suspicious circumstances. Superintendent David Howieson stated they are keeping the family updated.

The sisters, who moved from Hungary a decade ago, disappeared after leaving their rented flat. They crossed Victoria Bridge and headed toward the river.

Authorities are treating this as a missing persons case. They found out the sisters visited the bridge the day before they went missing.

The sisters hadn’t informed their family about plans to leave their flat. Their brother Jozsef mentioned they sent a message to their landlady about ending their tenancy.

He noted it was strange they didn’t share this information with their family.
