London: This weekend, many Tube lines and stations in London will be closed for regular maintenance. The closures will happen on Saturday and Sunday, affecting several key routes.
Both the Overground and Elizabeth line will also experience reduced services. This means fewer trains will be running, making travel more difficult for many people.
The Heathrow Express, a vital service for travelers, will not operate at all this weekend. This adds to the disruption, making it seem like London’s transport system is facing a major crisis.
If you’re planning to travel, there are still options available. Here’s a summary of the train changes for this weekend.
On Saturday, the Bakerloo line will not run between Queens Park and Harrow and Wealdstone. A special bus service will help those in the area. Other train services will still operate normally from Harrow and Wealdstone.
The Northern line will have no service between Camden Town and High Barnet during the early morning hours. Passengers can use the N20 bus instead.
From 3.45am, there will be no trains between Archway and High Barnet. The Overground will also be affected, with no service between Euston and Watford Junction.
The Elizabeth line will not run between Hayes and Harlington and Heathrow. However, the Piccadilly line will still operate to the airport.
On Sunday, the Elizabeth line will face even more closures. There will be no trains between Reading, Heathrow, and Abbey Wood until 7am.
The Overground will also be disrupted, with no trains running between Willesden Junction and Watford Junction.
Lastly, the Waterloo and City line will remain closed. It only operates during weekdays, so it won’t be available this weekend either.
