Huddersfield: Liam Hodgson has been out for three days now, clearing snow and ice from paths, car parks, and bus stops. He’s been busy in Huddersfield and Elland, making things safer for everyone.

This 27-year-old has been helping out at care homes and elderly flats, digging out cars, and making sure bus stops are accessible. He started his snow-clearing mission early Tuesday morning and plans to wrap up around 9 or 10 PM.

Liam, who’s also a boxer and door supervisor, wants to show young folks what hard work can achieve. He’s been at it solo for two days before this, and while some people offered to help, he hasn’t seen anyone grab a shovel yet. But hey, he’s been getting plenty of hot drinks and snacks from kind locals.

He gave a shoutout to Sainsbury’s in Lindley for lending him a snow shovel and to a generous person who helped him get some warm gloves. People have been reaching out to him for help with their own snow troubles.

One local, Alaina, even brought him a coffee and praised him for his community spirit. She said, “A hot coffee and a flapjack kept him going a little longer.”

Social media is buzzing with thanks for Liam. One person called him a “total legend,” while another said he deserves recognition for his efforts. He’s also training for a boxing match in Leeds on February 22, and he joked that shoveling snow is a good workout, even if it leaves him sore.
