Norfolk: So, there’s this wild story coming out of Norfolk. A Tory MP’s cousin, Douglas Clifton Brown, is in some serious trouble. He allegedly tried to kill his ex, Camilla Welby, by throwing her down a well at his family estate.
It all went down after a drinks party. They were leaving when things got heated. Apparently, Clifton Brown got aggressive during an argument and drove them to this old well on his property. He told her he had nothing to live for and that he was going to put her down there before doing the same to himself.
But here’s the twist: Camilla fought back. She managed to wrap her scarf around his neck and choked him until he nearly passed out. Talk about a dramatic turn of events! Her quick thinking saved her life.
She ended up with some serious injuries, like a suspected broken nose and a bruised face. Even after everything, she tried to get him to go to the hospital with her. But he bailed on that plan and got arrested at the estate instead.
Clifton Brown has already admitted to causing grievous bodily harm and making threats. The trial is still ongoing, and it’s definitely a case to keep an eye on.
