Abbey Wood: So, there was this wild scene in Abbey Wood where police were chasing a loose horse. Can you believe it? A TikTok video caught the whole thing!
The horse, with its dappled cream and black coat, was running around like it owned the place. It was darting down Yarnton Way and St Katherines Road on January 9, and the police were right behind it.
You could see two police cars with their lights flashing, parked along the road. A group of six folks, probably trying to help, were seen trying to catch the horse as it trotted away.
It even made a dash past the Emmanuel Baptist Church after crossing the road safely. Talk about a close call!
Two officers were on foot, chasing after it, and they eventually managed to guide the horse back towards Southmere Park. What a sight that must have been!
According to the Metropolitan Police, a few horses had escaped from a nearby field, but they were all safely returned. Just another day in Abbey Wood, right?
