Chicago: It was a dreary night in the Windy City as the Bears faced off against the Seahawks. The game was a real snooze-fest, with both teams struggling to find their rhythm. They combined for a whopping 10 sacks and only managed to score nine points. Can you believe it? The Seahawks squeaked by with a 6-3 win.
Seattle improved to 9-7, snapping a two-game losing streak, while the Bears fell to a dismal 4-12, marking their 10th straight loss. Ouch! The Bears had a shot to turn things around late in the game, but they just couldn’t get it done.
With just over five minutes left, they were on their own 11-yard line and made a decent drive to the Seattle 40. Caleb Williams connected with DJ Moore for a crucial fourth-and-5 conversion, and then hit Rome Odunze on a third-and-14. But, in classic Bears fashion, they mismanaged the clock and ended up throwing an interception with only 11 seconds left.
They did manage to score some points, but it was a struggle. A touchdown pass from Williams to Odunze got called back due to a holding penalty, and they settled for a 42-yard field goal just before halftime.
There was even a defensive touchdown that got overturned after a replay review. Kyler Gordon forced a fumble, but the play was ruled dead before he could take it to the house. Talk about bad luck!
Caleb Williams took a beating, getting sacked seven times, which is just brutal. He’s now taken 67 sacks this season, closing in on the NFL record. Meanwhile, the Seahawks had a decent night, with Geno Smith completing 17 of 23 passes for 160 yards. Not too shabby!
In the end, it was a rough night for both teams, but the Seahawks walked away with the win. Better luck next time, Bears!
