Three burglars followed couple home in chauffeur-driven car from Manchester Airport

Manchester: So, here’s the deal. A couple was followed home from Manchester Airport by three burglars who had rented a car. These guys were pretty brazen, right? They trailed the chauffeur-driven car all the way to Wrexham in North Wales.

This all went down on December 1 last year. The couple had just gotten home when the burglars struck. One of them, a guy named Arturo Mendivil-Valvin, had actually snuck into the UK from France on a small boat. Talk about a wild entry!

In court, the prosecutor laid it all out. The chauffeur had dropped the couple off and even unloaded their stuff. While the husband was busy unpacking, the burglars swooped in and grabbed their luggage. Can you imagine? The owner came back downstairs just in time to see one of the thieves making a run for it!

After the couple realized what happened, they called their driver, who hadn’t taken the bags. Turns out, the briefcase they stole had a bunch of important stuff in it, including cash and sensitive documents.

Police got involved and traced the hired car that had been tailing the couple. It was rented by one of the burglars, Jhony Ramirez-Loayza. The next day, they caught all three of them on the M602 highway.

They all admitted to the burglary and got two years in jail. The judge said their crime really shook the couple up. The wife lost her sense of safety at home, which is just heartbreaking, especially since they have a child with special needs.

During the hearing, the defendants had a Spanish interpreter. One of their lawyers mentioned that Ramirez-Loayza is a Peruvian living in Spain, while Mendivil-Valvin is a Cuban trying to support his family back home. Flores-Marquez, another defendant, showed remorse and has kids of his own.

The judge pointed out that these guys had planned this out. Two had visas, but one was in the UK illegally. They’ll serve half their sentences and then likely get deported. It’s a tough situation all around.
