Newport: So, there was quite a scene in Newport today. A police helicopter was buzzing around the city, and it caught a lot of people’s attention.

Turns out, Gwent Police were on the hunt for a car that was suspected of having cloned plates. You know, those fake license plates that some people use to dodge the law.

The helicopter took off around 3:10 PM to help track down this vehicle. A spokesperson from the National Police Air Service mentioned they were called in to assist Gwent Police.

They flew for about 48 minutes, keeping an eye on things from above. It’s pretty wild to think about how they coordinate these efforts.

Fortunately, no arrests were made during this chase, but it definitely kept everyone on their toes. Just another day in the life of police work, I guess!
