Cambridgeshire: A dog named Peanut was found in a shocking state on New Year’s Day. She was so thin that you could see every bone in her body. It’s heartbreaking.

Some kind folks spotted her on a country lane and rushed her to an emergency vet. Poor Peanut had pressure sores on her legs, likely from lying on hard surfaces for too long.

Now, she’s getting care at the RSPCA’s Block Fen Centre in March. When she arrived, she was barely alive, but there’s hope. She’s starting to show some improvement.

Peanut is getting small meals to help her gain weight slowly. Tiffany Saunders, the kennel supervisor, said it was tough to see her in such bad shape, but she’s starting to stand up on her own.

It’s a relief to see her wagging her tail again! The RSPCA is keeping a close eye on her, and they’re optimistic that she’ll keep getting better.

David Allen, an RSPCA officer, is looking into how Peanut ended up in such a terrible condition. He’s shocked by what he saw and is grateful to everyone who helped her.

They’re also trying to find out who owned Peanut. She was microchipped, but the last registered owner sold her when she was just a puppy. They want to hear from anyone who might know more about her past.

If you have any info, you can call the RSPCA’s appeals line. Let’s hope Peanut gets the love and care she deserves!
