Huber Heights: A couple in Huber Heights is making the holidays brighter for kids in need. Every year, they go all out with their Christmas lights. It’s a sight to see, and it’s all for a good cause.

Brandon and Shannon Dodge have been doing this for 15 years. They hope their dazzling display will encourage folks to donate to Toys for Tots. This year, they collected a whopping 12 bins of toys!

Brandon shared how important this charity is. He said, “It’s really one of the organizations that benefits just kids. It’s a direct impact.” They love being part of something that helps families in need.

The couple has deep roots in Huber Heights. They’re always looking for ways to give back. Shannon mentioned they dress up as characters like Cindy Lou Who and the Grinch, spreading cheer at local events.

Setting up their light display takes a lot of effort, but it’s worth it. Brandon said, “It’s the spirit of giving. Our goal is to spread Christmas cheer.” Seeing kids cheer for Santa brings them so much joy.

However, this year marks the end of their light display journey. Brandon joked about getting older and not bouncing back as easily if he falls. He’s thinking about starting a nonprofit to help older kids in need in the future.
