Bristol: EasyJet is kicking off a new flight service from Bristol Airport this summer. They’re adding Almeria in Spain to their list of destinations, which is pretty exciting! Starting June 24, you can fly there twice a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
Tickets are already up for grabs, starting at just £29.99. That’s a steal! With this new route, EasyJet will add another Airbus A320 to their Bristol fleet, giving travelers in the southwest more options.
Plus, this expansion is good news for the local economy. Each plane based in the UK supports around 400 jobs and brings in about £27 million in value. So, it’s a win-win!
EasyJet holidays are also getting a boost. They’re now offering package deals that include flights, hotels, and luggage for those sunny getaways to Almeria. It’s all part of their Ultimate Flexibility scheme, which is super handy.
Rupert Lawrie, the commercial director at Bristol Airport, shared his excitement about EasyJet’s investment. He mentioned that this new route not only gives more choices to travelers but also opens up opportunities for visitors from Spain to explore the southwest.
He also noted that the new aircraft will be an Airbus A320neo, which is quieter and more fuel-efficient. That’s great for the environment and the local community!
EasyJet has been busy, carrying a record number of passengers in the last financial year. They’re still the top short-haul airline at Bristol Airport, which is impressive.
Since they started flying from Bristol back in 2001, they’ve served over 76 million customers and offer 83 routes to 19 countries. Ali Gayward, the UK country manager for EasyJet, said their success shows how popular their flights and holidays are.
With this new aircraft, they’re not just supporting jobs but also tapping into the growing demand for travel in the southwest. They’re already planning more routes for next summer, so there’s plenty to look forward to!
