Haverhill: Exciting news for food lovers! The Hub café has a new chef, and he’s got quite the background. Mark Smith, who once cooked for Queen Elizabeth II, is now in charge.
Mark shared a cool story about meeting the Queen after a meal at St James’s Palace. He was part of the Royal Guard Rooms, rotating between some iconic places like Buckingham Palace. What a career!
At The Hub, Mark is all about variety. The café opens weekdays from 8:30 AM to 3 PM. He’s adding new items to the menu, so there’s something for everyone. Think porridge, bacon baps, and homemade sandwiches.
They’re also serving daily hot meals like pulled pork baps and classic ham, egg, and chips. Sounds delicious, right?
The Hub aims to attract not just the 35 companies in the EpiCentre but also locals looking for a cozy spot to enjoy coffee and cake. Plus, there’s plenty of parking!
Helen Earl, the centre manager, is thrilled to have Mark on board. She mentioned they’re already getting great feedback from both workers and visitors. It’s nice to see the community coming together.
The café is run by PINCH Food Ltd, a catering company with over 100 years of combined experience. Founder Katy Thompson believes Mark is making The Hub a go-to spot for locals.
