Lincolnshire: Fans of The Chase were not happy after a recent episode. Many viewers claimed they switched off their TVs in frustration.

In the episode, four contestants faced off against Mark Labbett, also known as The Beast. Stephen, a civil servant, started strong, answering nine questions correctly and bringing in £9,000.

But instead of going for the big win, he chose a lower offer of £3,000. Then it was Chynna’s turn, and she followed suit, opting for just £2,000. This left the team with only £5,000 when they could have had £17,000.

Next up was Rob, who answered six questions but was caught by Mark before he could make it back. Finally, Carol came in with £3,000 but also chose the low offer.

Fans were quick to express their outrage on social media. One viewer exclaimed how frustrating it was to see the team play for just £5,000 when they could have aimed for much more.

Another viewer even switched off the show, saying they were done with it. Many felt the contestants’ choices ruined the excitement of the game.

Despite answering 12 questions correctly in the final chase, the team fell short, with Mark catching them just six seconds before the end. It was a disappointing outcome for both the players and the viewers.

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV, but after this episode, who knows how many fans will stick around?
