Bristol: This week, a bunch of roadworks are kicking off around the city. Some are quick fixes, while others are part of longer projects. You’ll see work happening in Bristol and nearby South Gloucestershire.
Some of these roadworks will only take a few days, but others are going to be around for a while. They’re trying to do the work at night to keep things moving during the day. So, if you’re out and about, keep an eye out for signs.
Let’s break down what’s happening. First up, Hengrove Way is going to have more night closures. They’re working on improving the area for cyclists and pedestrians, and it’s been going on for a bit. The closures will be from 7 PM to 6 AM, starting tonight.
Then, in Emersons Green, Westbourne Road will be closed at night for resurfacing. This will run from tonight until Saturday morning, so plan your routes accordingly.
Over in Mangotsfield, they’re installing new drainage features on Mangotsfield Road. This closure starts today and will last nearly two weeks. They’re working hard to get it done by January 24.
And don’t forget about the A4 Portway! It’s going to see multiple projects over the next few months, starting with tree removals due to ash dieback. These closures will be from 9 PM to 5:30 AM until January 17.
Lastly, there’s some work on Newfoundland Way in the city center. They’ll be closing lanes for jetting and surveying, starting tonight and lasting until Wednesday night. So, if you’re driving through, be prepared for some delays.
