Philadelphia: So, the Eagles just waived quarterback Ian Book, and that’s a pretty good sign for Jalen Hurts. It looks like he might be ready to play in the playoffs against the Packers this Sunday.

Book was brought in after Hurts got a concussion a few weeks back. He was on the practice squad and then moved to the active roster, but now it seems the Eagles are feeling confident about their QB situation.

With Book gone, it looks like Hurts, along with Kenny Pickett and Tanner McKee, will be ready to suit up for the game. They need a third QB on the roster just in case the first two can’t go, so this move makes sense.

The team is back on the field for practice soon, and it sounds like Hurts will be joining them for the first time since his concussion. He got hurt early in a game against the Commanders and hasn’t played since.

Head coach Nick Sirianni hasn’t shared much about Hurts’ condition, but he did mention that Hurts is making progress in the concussion protocol. That’s definitely a good sign.

Also, it’s looking up for Pickett, who’s been dealing with a rib injury. He got hurt in the same game as Hurts but managed to play a bit longer before getting knocked out against the Cowboys.

Earlier this week, Sirianni dodged questions about possibly switching the backup QBs on the depth chart, so it’ll be interesting to see how that plays out.
