An Affordable Bottomless Brunch Focused on Food, Not Booze
Yauatcha City offers a unique brunch experience centered on unlimited dim sum for food enthusiasts

London: Bottomless brunches usually mean endless drinks, but Yauatcha City is doing things differently. This new brunch is all about the food, especially if you love dim sum.
Every Saturday from noon to 6 PM, you can enjoy a hearty brunch for just £45. The menu features unlimited dim sum, including steamed, fried, and baked options, plus baos, a cocktail, a main dish, a side, and dessert.
When you arrive, they greet you with their signature Tales of Negroni cocktail. It’s a cool mix of tea infusion, plum wine, coconut, and popcorn, served from a smoky bottle. You can choose between the alcoholic version or a zero-proof one.
The cocktail has a unique taste—bitter yet subtly sweet, with a hint of popcorn. If Negroni isn’t your thing, don’t worry; there are other cocktails to try.
The real star here is the dim sum, and trust me, it’s fantastic. The baked venison and edamame puff pastries were my favorites, and I couldn’t get enough of them. This venison puff recipe has been around for 20 years, and it’s easy to see why.
They also offer three types of steamed dumplings: pork and prawn, prawn, and seafood with black truffle. They’re delicious, but I saved room for the mains and dessert, which I later regretted.
You can repeat seven varieties of dim sum as much as you want, which is a real treat.
The baos are another highlight, with roasted pork and pan-fried vegetarian options. The pork bao was super flavorful and didn’t need any sauce, which is rare.
After you finish the dim sum, it’s time to pick your main course. Just a heads up—you can’t order more dim sum after this. We tried the stir-fried scallop and prawn with asparagus and chili pepper sauce, and the prawns were impressively large.
The second main dish was a sweet and spicy Chilean sea bass curry with veggies like okra and aubergine. It was creamy but a bit too spicy for my taste, though the flavors were rich.
The main dishes are a good size, so if you like what you see, don’t fill up on dim sum too soon.
Now, dessert was the only letdown: soufflé pancakes with honeycomb. They were dry and didn’t have that airy soufflé texture, and the honeycomb was barely there; I mostly tasted cream.
Looking back, I wish I had focused more on the dim sum, which is definitely the highlight of this brunch. Trust me, load up on dim sum before moving on to the other courses.
Even with the dessert hiccup, this brunch leaves you feeling stuffed and is a great deal for a weekend meal. If you care more about dim sum than bottomless drinks, this is the brunch you’ve been waiting for.
Yauatcha City is located at Broadgate, City of London, London EC2M 2QS. Their other spot, Yauatcha Soho, will also start offering the unlimited brunch soon.
