Thane Restaurant Owner and Staff Among 20 Booked for Assaulting Police
A restaurant owner and staff in Thane face charges after allegedly attacking police during an inspection at their establishment

Thane: So, there was this wild incident in Thane where a restaurant owner and his crew got into some serious trouble with the police. It all went down at the Skyline restaurant in Upvan, and it was quite a scene.
It happened just after midnight on January 5. The police were doing a routine check when things took a turn. The restaurant owner and his staff didn’t let the officers in, which is never a good idea.
Things escalated quickly. The staff ended up attacking the police, with one officer getting hit in the chest with a microphone rod. Can you believe that? They even snatched a police officer’s phone during the chaos.
Some of the folks involved have been named, including the owner, Harsh Bhanushali, and a few of his staff members. The police filed a case at the Vartak Nagar station, and they’re looking at some serious charges.
They’re facing a bunch of sections under the law, including assaulting public servants and rioting. It’s a big deal, and it’s definitely not how you want to handle a police visit!
