Bristol: A restaurant on the Christmas Steps is gearing up for an exciting event. They’re bringing in a guest chef from Chicago for their first pop-up of the year.
The Scrandit, known for its fun pop-ups and events, is thrilled to welcome Chanita Chayaluk from Chicago. She’s teaming up with Barang London for a special Thai and Cambodian collaboration from January 23-26.
The Scrandit shared the news on Instagram, saying they’re kicking off 2025 with this unique collaboration. Chanita is a Thai-American chef with a solid background in Thai cuisine, blending traditional recipes with modern twists.
Tom from Barang London is also back, and his food has been a hit in Bristol. He recently wrapped up two sold-out pop-ups in London, so expectations are high!
They’re excited about this collaboration and are ready to welcome walk-ins, but if you have a group of six or more, it’s best to book ahead. Keep an eye out for the menu, which will be revealed next week.
The Scrandit has made a name for itself, even being listed among the top 20 restaurants in Bristol by TimeOut last year. It’s a cozy spot that hosts everything from street food to Masterchef finalists, located at 14 Christmas Steps, Bristol, BS1 5BS.
