Houston: So, Nico Collins, the wide receiver for the Texans, had a little moment during a game against the Titans. After scoring a touchdown, he spotted a young fan in the stands and tossed him the football. Sounds sweet, right? Well, the NFL didn’t think so and slapped him with a fine.

In that game, which was on November 24, Collins caught nine passes for 92 yards. His touchdown helped narrow the score to 17-13, but the Titans ended up winning 32-27. After the game, Collins shared that he got fined about $5,000 for his generous act, which he’s done before without any issues.

He mentioned that the NFL has a rule about throwing footballs into the stands, labeling it a “Sportsmanship” violation. The fine can go up to nearly $7,900, but Collins didn’t seem too bothered. He said it was all about making that kid happy, and that’s what really mattered to him.

Collins was pretty clear about his feelings, saying he’d appeal the fine. He just wanted to create a memorable moment for that young fan. “He ain’t never going to forget that moment,” he said. And honestly, who could blame him? It’s a cool gesture, and he’s willing to pay the price for it.
