Baltimore: The Texans had a rough beginning in their game against the Ravens on Wednesday. But hey, they found some spark in the second quarter thanks to their defense and special teams.

Punter Tommy Townsend nailed a huge 70-yard punt that landed right at the Ravens’ 3-yard line. Then, cornerback Kamari Lassiter made a big play, tackling Ravens running back Derrick Henry for a safety. That got the crowd buzzing!

Dameon Pierce took the free kick and returned it close to midfield. The Texans finally made their way into Baltimore territory with a nice 16-yard catch from Robert Woods. It was about time they got something going!

John Metchie helped them out too, catching another pass that moved them to the Ravens’ 30-yard line. Coach DeMeco Ryans decided to go for it instead of kicking a field goal, aiming for Woods down the sideline. Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey got flagged for pass interference, giving the Texans a 20-yard boost.

But despite all that, they just couldn’t get it into the end zone on their first three tries. Ryans took another shot, but running back Joe Mixon got stopped right at the 1-yard line. So, the Ravens still held a 10-2 lead as the second quarter wound down.

Oh, and keep an eye on Ravens cornerback Nate Wiggins. He was being checked for a concussion during the Texans’ drive, so his status could be important moving forward.
