Hull: A murder trial is underway involving David Hunt’s death. One suspect, Dean Dawkins, claims he saw a 16-year-old stab Hunt three times. Dawkins insists he was terrified and had no part in the attack.

During the trial, Dawkins, 20, said he was in Hull to help the teen sell drugs. He admitted they were friends but denied any involvement in the murder. He described seeing blood pouring from Hunt’s neck after the stabbing.

The prosecution argues that Dawkins and the teenager ambushed Hunt when he tried to buy drugs. Hunt was stabbed nine times and died despite efforts to save him. Dawkins claims he was scared and did not want violence.

Witnesses say Hunt was attacked after he entered the house looking for drugs. He was heard saying he wasn’t doing anything before the stabbing occurred. Blood evidence suggests he fought back as he tried to escape.

After the attack, Dawkins and the teen allegedly fled the scene. They were later arrested, and the trial continues. The prosecution is building a case that links all four defendants to a drug operation in Hull.
