Bhiwandi: A big fire broke out at some temporary scrap godowns in Thane district. It caused a lot of damage, but the good news is that no one got hurt. Firefighters worked through the night to get it under control.

The fire started around 4 PM on Friday in Walpada, where they store scrap materials in tin sheds. It spread quickly because of all the scrap and paper rolls inside. Three fire engines from the local municipal corporation rushed to the scene, but it was tough to fight the flames.

Fire officials said the damage is significant, but thankfully, there were no casualties. They’re still figuring out what caused the fire and if any safety rules were ignored. This incident has raised some eyebrows about safety standards in these temporary storage places.

Local residents were worried about the thick smoke that could be seen from far away. The fire department reassured everyone that the fire was under control by Saturday morning and that they were making sure the area was safe again.
