Bristol: Temple Quay has really changed over the years. It’s now a vibrant business area filled with sleek glass buildings. These offices look out over the historic Temple Meads station and the river.
Back in the day, this spot was all about industry. In the 18th and 19th centuries, it was bustling with activity. But by the mid-20th century, it was mostly taken up by a railway goods shed. Then, in the 1990s, things started to shift when the old shed was torn down, and a big regeneration project kicked off.
Today, Temple Quay is a key part of the Bristol Temple Quarter Enterprise Zone. It’s home to major employers like HMRC and Ovo Energy. Plus, with new housing popping up, more businesses are moving in. You can find everything from cool cafes like Small Goods to well-known chains like Greggs.
