Mumbai: So, the weather in Mumbai has taken a bit of a chill lately. The Santacruz observatory recorded a low of 17.8 degrees Celsius, which is pretty cool for the city.

The Indian Meteorological Department says we can expect a partly cloudy sky. Temperatures will be between a fresh 20 degrees in the morning and a warmer 32 degrees during the day. Humidity is sitting at around 60 percent, so it’s not too sticky.

In terms of air quality, it’s not too bad either. The Central Pollution Control Board reported that the air quality index (AQI) was at 117, which falls into the moderate category. Some areas like Byculla and Ghatkopar had AQIs of 130 and 143, respectively, but others like Mulund and Powai were doing even better with good air quality.

With pollution levels on the rise, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation is stepping up its game. They’re revising guidelines for construction sites and setting up monitoring systems to keep an eye on pollution levels. If things get out of hand, they’ll take action right away.

So, while it’s a bit cooler, at least the air quality is manageable for now. Let’s hope it stays that way!
