Teen Killed in Castleford Sewage Treatment Works Tragedy Named Locally

Castleford: So, there was this really sad accident at a sewage treatment plant. An 18-year-old named Taylor Lupton lost his life, and it’s just heartbreaking.
The crash happened on a Sunday evening when the car he was in veered off Wheldon Road and ended up in the water. It was a white Volkswagen Golf, and it was mostly submerged.
Two other people, a guy and a girl, both 21, were rescued from the car and taken to the hospital. But sadly, Taylor was found nearby and pronounced dead right there.
West Yorkshire Police later confirmed his identity, and it’s just so tragic for his family and friends. They’re really feeling the loss.
After the accident, the police arrested the man and woman who were rescued, suspecting they might have caused the crash through dangerous driving. They’ve since cleared the road, but the investigation is still ongoing.
The Major Collision Enquiry Team is looking into what happened. They’re asking anyone who saw the car before the crash to reach out. If you have any footage, they want to hear from you too.
