Moree: So, there’s been a pretty wild incident in northern NSW. A teenage boy got charged after he and some friends allegedly ambushed three hotels on Boxing Day. Can you believe that?
It all kicked off early Thursday morning when police got a call about a hotel room on Amaroo Drive. Apparently, three guys with knives barged in on a 63-year-old woman and an 83-year-old man. The woman ended up in the hospital, but thankfully, she’s stable now.
After that, the teens didn’t stop. They moved on to another hotel on Mungindi Road, where they got into a fight with a 51-year-old guy in his room. Things escalated quickly, and they broke into yet another room, threatening a 78-year-old man and his 65-year-old friend with knives. They even stole their car!
But wait, there’s more! They then headed to a third hotel on Warialda Street, where they threatened a 41-year-old man and his 11-year-old son, taking their car keys too. It’s just crazy how far they went.
Eventually, they crashed one of the stolen cars into a parked vehicle. After some serious detective work, police caught a 14-year-old boy at his home in Moree on New Year’s Day. He even had a bit of cannabis on him.
Now, he’s facing some serious charges, including drug possession and armed break and enter. He appeared in court on Thursday, and the police are still looking for the other guys involved. What a mess!
