Teacher Mortified and Ashamed Over Inappropriate Conduct with Colleagues
A former assistant headteacher faces misconduct charges for unconsented touching and inappropriate comments at a Sefton school

During a misconduct hearing, it came out that she allegedly touched colleagues without their consent. Yikes! Her lawyer said she didn’t do it for any sexual reasons, but still, it’s a big deal.
The hearing lasted three and a half days, and even though she admitted to some of the charges, her lawyer claimed she was just trying to lighten the mood. But honestly, that doesn’t really excuse it, right?
She even played a game called ‘Nervous’ with staff, which involved touching their thighs. Not cool! Plus, there were comments about male staff members and some really inappropriate offers made in exchange for favors.
Her lawyer said she felt “mortified, horrified, and ashamed” about her actions. It sounds like she’s really reflecting on her behavior, but the panel will decide if it was enough to consider her conduct unacceptable.
If they find her guilty, they’ll recommend what should happen next. It’s a tough situation, and it’s clear she’s been struggling in her role. The hearing is still ongoing, so we’ll have to wait and see what happens next.
