Tadley: Last month, local churches held their annual service. They committed to a new year-long prayer initiative.

St Michael’s Catholic Church hosted the event on January 26. It was a Christian unity service for the community.

Leaders and members from Tadley, Silchester, and Pamber Heath came together. They enjoyed a time of fellowship and prayer.

Rev Karen West from Silchester shared her thoughts on CTAT. She said it’s one of the best parts of her ministry.

Churches like the Catholic, Methodist, and Salvation Army work together. They organize many joint events for the local area.

Sadly, Stewart Madden from the Salvation Army couldn’t attend due to illness. However, the service went on with themes of hope, peace, love, and joy.

After the service, everyone enjoyed refreshments and socializing. Despite the bad weather, many locals showed up.

CTAT is excited about their new initiative called ‘Pray Tadley’ for 2025. This project started during Advent but will continue throughout the year.

The initiative began after discovering that 1 in 5 local children face trauma. The churches wanted to ensure the community knows they are being prayed for.

CTAT hands out prayer cards at services. These cards remind everyone that the local church community is praying for hope, peace, love, and joy.
