Swansea: Luke Williams, the manager of Swansea City, recently spoke out about the swirling rumors regarding the West Brom job. After a tough 4-0 loss to Portsmouth, he made it clear that he doesn’t expect any calls from the Baggies.

He’s been mentioned as a top candidate since West Brom’s previous manager, Carlos Corberan, left for Valencia. But Williams insists there’s been no contact from them. He joked, “If they were at the game today, I won’t be going anywhere, will I?”

The defeat was a tough pill to swallow for Swansea. They had been on a bit of a roll at home, but this match was a different story. Williams noted that his team struggled to keep up with Portsmouth, who scored four goals, leaving Swansea looking a bit lost on the pitch.

“It’s a really tough one to take,” he said. “We didn’t compete and we struggled to get to grips with the conditions and opposition.” He acknowledged that they need to find a level of consistency if they want to improve.

Portsmouth, on the other hand, celebrated a fantastic win, marking their biggest victory in the second tier since 2010. Their coach, John Mousinho, was thrilled with the performance, especially after bouncing back from a previous defeat. He praised his team for creating chances and taking them well.
