Craigavon: So, there have been some burglaries in Craigavon and Belfast that have the police scratching their heads. They think these two might be connected.
It all went down on the evening of January 14. The first report came in around 6:20 PM from Dollingstown. Someone broke into a house by smashing a rear door. Inside, it looked like a tornado hit—rooms were ransacked, but it’s still unclear if anything was taken.
Then, just a little later, around 7:45 PM, another burglary was reported in north Belfast. This time, the thieves got in through the front door and also made a mess of the place. They’re still figuring out if anything was stolen there too.
Witnesses saw three masked guys leaving the Belfast house. They were slim and dressed in dark clothes. The interesting part? They hopped into a dark SUV, which might be the same one used in the Craigavon break-in.
Both homes were empty during the burglaries, and the police are urging folks to beef up their home security. They recommend not keeping large amounts of cash at home and being cautious about routines that could tip off thieves.
It’s a good idea to check your doors and windows regularly, and if you don’t have security cameras, maybe think about getting some. If you notice anything suspicious, don’t hesitate to call the police.
The investigation is still ongoing, and the police are especially interested in any CCTV or dash-cam footage from the areas. If you have any info, you can reach out to them at 101, mentioning the reference numbers they provided.
