Frodsham: So, here’s the scoop. Mike Amesbury, the suspended Labour MP, has admitted to assaulting a guy on the street. It all went down in Frodsham, Cheshire.
He showed up at Chester magistrates’ court on Thursday. The incident involved a 45-year-old man named Paul Fellows. Apparently, it happened on Main Street, and the police got the call at 2:48 AM on October 26 last year.
Things got serious when footage surfaced, showing Amesbury throwing a punch. After that, he was suspended from the Labour Party and now sits in Parliament as an Independent.
At 55 years old, he faced a charge of section 39 assault. The whole case was handed over to prosecutors on October 29, leading to his court appearance.
