Newry: A suspected creeper burglar was caught on camera, and it’s got everyone talking. This guy was seen trying to break into homes and cars in the Courtney Hill area early one morning.

Witnesses described him as having a beard and wearing a heavy coat. The police have confirmed they received reports about attempted vehicle thefts in that neighborhood.

One local, Martin Grant, shared that his home CCTV recorded the whole thing. He’s been living in Courtney Hill for three years and mentioned that break-ins have been a real issue.

Martin expressed his worries, saying the residents are constantly dealing with these criminals. He fears that one day, things might get out of hand and turn violent.

Others in the area have also reached out on their community Facebook page, sharing more video evidence of the suspect. It seems like this is a growing concern.

The Ballinacraig Community Association even posted about a resident’s car being checked for unlocked doors. They’re urging everyone to lock their cars and keep valuables out of sight.

Local Sinn Féin councillor Valerie Harte voiced her concerns too. She highlighted that many residents are elderly or vulnerable and might feel scared with all this criminal activity happening around them.

She encouraged neighbors to look out for each other and stay vigilant. However, she also warned against jumping to conclusions about who might be involved, as there have been some false accusations flying around.
