New York: The suspect in the shocking murder of UnitedHealthcare’s CEO was arrested at a McDonald’s in Pennsylvania. Luigi Mangione, just 26, is facing serious charges.

He was charged with intentional murder and four other counts, including firearm-related charges. This all came after the tragic shooting of Brian Thompson, the CEO, in Manhattan.

Thompson was shot early Wednesday morning outside a hotel, and the police had been searching for Mangione ever since. They even shared photos to help track him down.

It turns out a McDonald’s employee recognized him and called 911. When the police arrived, Mangione reportedly got nervous when they asked about his recent trips to New York.

Interestingly, Mangione had been dealing with severe back pain, and a document criticizing the healthcare industry was found with him. He came from a well-off family and had impressive degrees from the University of Pennsylvania.

Before this incident, he was even a lead counselor at a Stanford pre-college program. It’s a wild turn of events that has left many in shock.
