Oshkosh: Late Tuesday night, police shot a man suspected of stabbing two people. The Wisconsin Department of Justice shared the news early Wednesday.

It all started with a 911 call around 11:10 p.m. Someone reported a stabbing at a home on West 10th Avenue. When officers arrived, they found one victim outside. They then went inside and confronted the suspect, who was armed with a knife.

The suspect didn’t listen to the officers’ commands to drop the weapon. That’s when an officer shot him. They tried to save his life, but he was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

Meanwhile, they found a second victim inside the house. Both victims and the suspect were taken to the hospital.

As per protocol, the officers involved are on administrative leave. Thankfully, they were all wearing body cameras during the incident.

The Wisconsin Department of Justice is now investigating the shooting. They’re working with various agencies to gather evidence and figure out what happened. Once they wrap up, they’ll hand over their findings to the local District Attorney.
