Phoenix: The Suns and Jazz went all out on Friday night, and it was a blast to watch. They combined for a whopping 44 made 3-pointers, tying an NBA record. The Suns took the win, 134-126, but both teams were on fire from beyond the arc.
Each team hit 22 threes, with Phoenix shooting 49% and Utah at 56%. It was a wild night, and they matched the record set earlier this year in a crazy game between the Kings and Clippers.
Even though they tied the record for combined 3-pointers, neither team broke the record for most by a single team in a game. That still belongs to the Celtics and Bucks, who each made 29.
Devin Booker was a standout, hitting 6 threes and scoring 34 points. Kevin Durant added 30 points, and Tyus Jones and Royce O’Neale each made five 3-pointers. On the Jazz side, Lauri Markkanen and John Collins were impressive, each sinking four 3s.
Collins even tied the record with a 3-pointer in the final seconds. It was a night full of high-level shooting, and Jazz coach Will Hardy praised the skill level in the NBA today. It was definitely a game to remember!
