Green Bay: The Packers really showed up on Sunday night, taking down the Seahawks 30-13. They had a bit of a slow patch in the middle, but overall, it was a solid win.
Seattle’s got more to worry about than just the loss. Their quarterback, Geno Smith, hurt his knee in the third quarter and didn’t come back.
The Packers kicked things off strong, scoring touchdowns on their first two drives. Josh Jacobs punched it in from a yard out, and then Romeo Doubs snagged a 13-yard pass.
Brandon McManus added three field goals in the second and third quarters. Then, with just under five minutes left, Doubs caught a 22-yard touchdown from Jordan Love, sealing the deal.
Speaking of Love, he had a great game, completing 22 of 27 passes for 229 yards and two touchdowns. Jacobs rushed for 94 yards and caught a few passes too, while Doubs ended up with two touchdowns.
As for Smith, he got hit low while trying to throw and had to leave the game. He finished with 149 yards and an interception.
Sam Howell stepped in for him but struggled, going 5 of 14 for just 24 yards and also threw an interception that led to Doubs’ second touchdown. He got sacked four times, too.
With this win, the Packers are now sitting pretty at 10-4 and eyeing that No. 6 seed in the NFC. They’ll be hosting the Saints next Monday, and a win there could lock in a playoff spot.
The Seahawks, now at 8-6, have slipped out of the playoff picture and will need to regroup as they face Minnesota next Sunday.
