Washington: Jayden Daniels really showed up in this game, didn’t he? He led the Commanders to a comeback win, making sure they’re headed to the playoffs for the first time since 2020.
In overtime, he directed a solid 12-play drive that ended with a touchdown, sealing the game at 30-24. The Commanders are now 11-5, while the Falcons dropped to 8-8.
Daniels was on fire, throwing for 227 yards and three touchdowns, plus he ran for 127 yards. He even set a record for rushing yards by a rookie quarterback in a single season. Pretty impressive!
His favorite target, Zach Ertz, caught two touchdowns, and Olamide Zaccheaus also had a great game with eight catches. The Falcons had a strong start, leading 17-7 at halftime, but the Commanders took control in the second half.
Atlanta had a chance to win it in regulation, but their kicker, Riley Patterson, couldn’t nail a long field goal. So, we went to overtime, and the Commanders won the toss. The Falcons didn’t even get a chance to touch the ball again.
With this win, the Commanders are guaranteed a winning record for the first time since 2016. It’s a big deal for them, and fans are definitely excited!
