Greenwich: Sticks ‘n’ Sushi is a well-loved sushi spot in London, with four branches in south London. They opened a new one at Battersea Power Station last year, which is pretty exciting.
This place mixes Japanese and Danish cuisine, serving up sushi and grilled dishes, plus some cool Japanese-inspired cocktails to sip on.
If you’re feeling a bit broke after the holidays, they’ve rolled out a new January menu called Stick to What You Love. You can grab a selection of dishes for just £19.50, which is a steal!
You can choose between seafood or grilled options, making it a great spot for a budget-friendly lunch date or a casual meal with a friend.
We kicked things off with some cocktails, and honestly, for a chain, Sticks ‘n’ Sushi has some of the best drinks I’ve tasted.
I really loved the Tiki Fuji Punch, which had a fab mix of matcha and pineapple, and the Japanese Spring Punch was a nice twist on the Bramble with gin, raspberry, and prosecco.
If you go for the Stick to What You Love menu, you can pick either seafood or grill. We chose the grill option, which came with five signature sticks like chicken, salmon, and cauliflower, plus rice and miso.
The skewers were super filling, and I enjoyed sampling so many grilled goodies on one plate. My top picks were definitely the salmon and cauliflower, but honestly, everything was tasty.
If seafood is more your thing, you can go for the Sea option, which includes a seaweed salad, edamame, and soy-cured salmon with all the fixings.
We also shared some classic California Rolls, which had shrimp, crab, and avocado, along with Crab Croquettes that were my absolute favorite from the whole menu.
If you still have room for dessert, they offer some Japanese-inspired sweets like a sesame-topped crème brûlée and a pastry filled with yuzu curd.
We decided to try the dark chocolate fondant, which had a gooey matcha center and was topped with vanilla ice cream and matcha cookie crumble. It was such a delicious combo of flavors!
The Stick to What You Know menu is available until January 31 and runs all day at Sticks ‘n’ Sushi, so you’ve got plenty of time to check it out.
