Steven James Scott, whereabouts unknown

Ormond Beach: Earlier this year, a couple reached out to Sheriff Mike Chitwood about a fraud case. They had hired a solar power company to install a system at their home.

The salesman, Steven Scott, took a hefty payment of $37,044 but never passed it on to his employer. He initially claimed he had collected the money and then just quit.

Since then, he’s gone completely off the radar. A judge has issued a warrant for his arrest for organized scheme to defraud and grand theft, with a bond set at $40,000 and a nationwide pickup.

Scott’s last known address was in Orlando, but the current resident says he’s not living there anymore. It’s a real mystery where he could be hiding out now.
