Birmingham: A late-night crash in the A38 tunnel has caught a lot of attention. West Midlands Ambulance released a statement after a video went viral showing a man struggling next to a wrecked car.

The footage, shared on a Birmingham Instagram page, was filmed by a driver who stopped to help. In the video, you can see a man in a dark coat on the ground, clearly in distress.

The car, a silver Renault Clio, was badly damaged and facing the wrong way. It looked pretty serious, and at the time, no one knew how the driver was doing.

West Midlands Ambulance confirmed that it was a single-vehicle crash in the Queensway tunnel, right in the heart of Birmingham. The video racked up over 180,000 views, sparking a lot of concern from locals who were worried about the man and wondered why no one was helping.

A spokesperson from the ambulance service said they got the call about the crash at 11:09 PM on Thursday. They sent one ambulance, and when they arrived, they found the man. Luckily, he didn’t have any serious injuries and was able to be checked out and sent on his way.
