London: Katie Piper, the TV presenter, is taking a big step in her journey. After 16 years since the acid attack that changed her life, she’s trying out an artificial eye. It’s a huge deal for her, and she shared a video of the fitting process.

In her Instagram post, she opened up about her struggles with eye health. She mentioned that after a long battle, she’s finally decided to give a prosthetic eye shell a shot. It’s the beginning of a new chapter for her, and she’s got a fantastic medical team supporting her.

Katie expressed her gratitude towards the NHS and private healthcare for their kindness and expertise. She’s excited yet nervous about this new journey and is eager to hear from others who have been through something similar.

Her friends in the industry are rallying around her. Stacey Dooley and Gaby Roslin left sweet messages, while Lisa Snowdon called her a “warrior.” Lucy Spraggan even said Katie’s energy is beyond words and felt by so many.

Last year, Katie had a cornea transplant after experiencing severe pain in her left eye, which she’s blind in. She’s been through countless surgeries since the horrific attack in 2008, which was orchestrated by her ex-boyfriend.

After the attack, Katie bravely shared her story in a documentary called “Katie: My Beautiful Face.” She also founded the Katie Piper Foundation to help others with similar experiences and has received an honorary doctorate for her incredible work.

In 2021, she was honored with an OBE for her charity work and support for burn victims. Katie’s journey is truly inspiring, and she continues to shine a light on important issues.
