New Orleans: Derek Carr is still nursing that left hand injury and missed practice again on Thursday. It looks like he might sit out another game, but the Saints haven’t officially ruled him out yet.

Interim coach Darren Rizzi mentioned that if Carr can’t go, Spencer Rattler will be the one starting. Rattler has already filled in for Carr earlier this season when he was dealing with an oblique issue.

Last week, Jake Haener got the nod against the Commanders, but after a rough first half, Rattler stepped in. He managed to throw for 135 yards and a touchdown, even though the team lost 20-19.

This season, Rattler has played in four games, racking up 706 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions. It’ll be interesting to see how he performs if he gets the chance to start again.
