Spalding Man Faces Jail Time for Setting Fire to Range Rover

A Spalding man could be jailed after admitting to setting fire to a Range Rover last year

Spalding: A 26-year-old guy named Adam Szeliga is in some hot water. He admitted to torching a Range Rover last May. This all went down in Pennygate, and he just pleaded guilty at Lincoln Crown Court.

But that’s not all. He also confessed to stealing a bike from the Constitutional Club the day before. Talk about a rough couple of days, right?

His lawyer, Paul O’Shea, asked the court to delay the sentencing. He mentioned that this is a serious step up in Szeliga’s behavior. The judge agreed but made it clear that Szeliga’s future is still uncertain.

The judge ordered some reports to get a better understanding of why he did it. For now, Szeliga is out on bail but can’t go near Pennygate or contact the Range Rover’s owner. He’ll be back in court on March 3 for sentencing.
