South London: A police officer has been let go for unwanted sexual touching of a colleague. This incident involved PC Hywel Williams, who was part of the Central South Command Unit.

He was found to have violated professional conduct standards. After a hearing on January 10, he was dismissed without notice.

Detective Chief Superintendent Seb Adjei-Addoh stated that Williams’ actions were not acceptable for someone in his position. Officers are expected to maintain a high level of trust and professionalism.

The incident reportedly took place in May 2022 while Williams was off-duty. There were also eight other allegations, but those were not proven.

Now, Williams will be added to a barred list by the College of Policing, meaning he can’t work for any police-related organizations in the future.
