Seoul: So, there’s some serious drama going down in South Korea. A shaman named Jeon Seong-bae, or Geon Jin, just got detained. They think he was involved in President Yoon Suk Yeol’s campaign back in 2022 and might have taken some illegal political funds. This could really complicate things for Yoon, who’s already facing impeachment.

Prosecutors are digging deep. They raided Jeon’s home and a temple in southern Seoul, even snagging his smartphones to look for evidence. Apparently, he’s got some close ties with Yoon and his wife, Kim Keon Hee, and he used to advise her company.

Jeon was pretty active during Yoon’s campaign, which was a nail-biter. Now, with Yoon’s recent impeachment over trying to impose martial law, things are looking pretty shaky. The Constitutional Court is set to decide if he’ll stay in office or be booted out.

On top of all this, the South Korean foreign ministry is trying to figure out how to keep things smooth with the U.S. and President Trump, especially with all this political chaos. They’re saying their connections with Trump’s team are solid, but who knows how this will all play out?

And just when you think it can’t get crazier, investigators tried to raid Yoon’s office again but got turned away. It’s like a political soap opera over there!
